Easter Eggs

Today we looked at some Google tricks.  The most interesting ones I found were "do a barrel roll" if you type that in the page will do a full 360 degree turn.
My favorite one is if you type in "zerg rush" the page will be flooded with "O"s and will essentially eat everything that showed up as a result.
If you type in pv zk pv pv zk pv zk kz zk pv pv pv zk pv zk zk pzk pzk pvzkpkzvpvzk kkkkkk bsch on Google will beatbox.

      Firefox has a wide array of add-ons to install to your browser.  There is an add-on for just about anything you can think of.  But in all honesty I found most of them useless on these school computers.  It's either blocked or a waste of space on your browser.  I finally found 15, and they were fairly decent.  Solitare has been my favorite thus far.  But there are others I liked.  The music player that streams music from youtube.com.  I found one that allows you to post straight to swaglr.  Never heard of the website, but it sounds like its filled with swag.

Blog layouts

Mrs. James talked about blog layouts today.  She told us to go to some website called the cutestblogontheblock.com.  She tried to tell us guys that they had masculine layouts.  She lied.  No rock music, no football or any sports.  Lame website.  But if you're a female or have large amounts of estrogen, check it out.

Firefox Personas

Today we got familiar with Firefox persona's.  Firefox is a browser and then some.  A persona is one of the many additions you can make to the browser.  A persona is a picture beneath your toolbar.  It's a bit hard to see, but adds a nice touch of personalization to the browser.

Symbaloo

Ever find a website that you really enjoyed, and forgot the name of it?  With Symbaloo.com thats not a problem.  Make your own webmix (a certain set of websites) and fill it with tiles (the different websites you've saved).  This would be really handy for students.  Because I've forgotten the name of websites loaded with info pertaining to a certain topic.  But if I'd known of Symbaloo tracking those websites would not of been an issue.  Goto Symbaloo.com now and see for yourself just how handy it can be.
